Meet Our Volunteers

Mary Kuchinsky

Mary Kuchinsky

Mary has been volunteering here at Ten Thousand Villages since 2009 and is a valued member of the team. She is an artist and craftsperson, a collector of ethnic and American crafts, and takes pride in the fact that by volunteering she is helping artisans in the developing world who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed.

“It’s great to have a smart, talented, and dynamic person like Mary working with us in our Brookline store,” says store manager Glenn Whidden. “She knows that by volunteering she helps us keep our overhead costs lower, which allows us to purchase more from the artisans we work with. We all love working with her and wonder how we got along before she started.”
